Characteristics of APL Purge and Trap (Part 2) —98% Ultimate Water Removal Efficiency

Data:2026-06-18Click:2

In the analysis of blow and capture, water vapor is a long-term challenge that troubles experimental personnel. Once water vapor enters the capture trap, it not only reduces the capture efficiency of the adsorbent material, but also causes damage to the gas chromatography column and detector.

The Ople R&D team spent a lot of time repeatedly modifying the design plan and ultimately overcame this technical challenge. The designed water trap cleverly utilizes the condensation principle - when the tested component and water vapor pass through together, the water vapor condenses into droplets and is intercepted in the water trap, while volatile organic compounds pass smoothly, achieving a water removal efficiency of over 98%. This means that drier samples enter the analysis system, the chromatographic column has a longer lifespan, and the detection results are more stable and reliable.
