The headspace sampler is a convenient and rapid sample pretreatment method in gas chromatography. Its principle involves placing the sample to be tested in a sealed container, heating it to raise the temperature, allowing volatile components to evaporate from the sample matrix, achieving equilibrium in the gas-liquid (or gas-solid) two-phase system, and directly extracting the top gas for chromatographic analysis, thereby examining the composition and content of volatile components in the sample.
